KARATE
Karate is a Japanese martial art that emphasizes striking techniques—such as punches, kicks, knee strikes, and open-hand techniques—combined with defensive movements like blocks and evasion. It trains both the body and mind, aiming to develop strength, speed, coordination, and self-discipline. Practitioners also learn kata (pre-arranged forms), kihon (basic techniques), and kumite (sparring), which together form the foundation of traditional Karate training. As both a sport and a discipline, Karate is suitable for all ages, offering physical fitness, mental focus, and personal growth for children, teens, and adults alike.

The Shotokan Karate International Federation (SKIF) is a leading global martial arts organisation dedicated to teaching and promoting authentic Shotokan Karate. Established in 1978, SKIF has grown to include branches in more than 130 countries, offering high-quality instruction, international seminars, and world-class competitions.
SKIF Yudansha-Kai is a global network of SKIF Black Belts dedicated to Soke Hirokazu Kanazawa’s legacy of harmony and world peace. By joining, we help build bridges between cultures and empower communities worldwide through seminars, exchanges, and outreach.
UAE Karate Federation (UAEKF) is the national governing body for karate in the United Arab Emirates, working within the AKF and WKF framework. Our affiliation connects Bushido to recognized competitions, international standards, and athlete development pathways in the UAE and beyond.
Karate Pilipinas Sports Federation Inc. (KPSFI) is the recognized national governing body for karate in the Philippines and is affiliated with the WKF and AKF. Our affiliation provides access to recognized competitions, international standards, and athlete development opportunities in the Philippines and beyond.
BMAF is proudly affiliated with the Shotokan Karate-do International Federation (SKIF), a globally recognized organization dedicated to the teaching, practice, and promotion of authentic Shotokan Karate.
