The SKIF/Bushido Warriors proudly represented the Philippines 🇵🇭 at the 1st Al Buraimi Karate Open International Championship held in Oman 🇴🇲 on September 27–28, 2024. With 9 dedicated karatekas, the team delivered an outstanding performance, bringing home an impressive 13 medals — 2 Gold, 3 Silver, and 8 Bronze. Beyond the medals and rankings, this achievement reflects the hard work, discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and commitment of every warrior who stepped onto the international stage. Throughout the competition, our athletes supported and encouraged one another, standing together through every challenge and celebrating each other's achievements. A special part of this journey was the guidance, dedication, love, and care of their coaches, Sensei Zigomar Cruz and Sensei Rolando Lagman. From the training and preparation leading up to the tournament to their guidance and support throughout the competition, they helped prepare the athletes not only technically, but also mentally and emotionally. Equally important was the unwavering support of the parents and families, who travelled all the way from Abu Dhabi to Oman by land to be there for their children. Their sacrifices, encouragement, and presence made this journey even more meaningful and reminded our warriors that they were never alone.
